Brian Clark is the inspiration behind the launch of this
blog. He is my biggest influence.
He didn’t inspire just me, he inspired many other bloggers. I am glad to be one of them.
So first, I would like to say: thank you, Brian.
If you have not started blogging yet, check this post to learn why Brian is a successful blogger and how can you be like him. He is a great example to follow, if you want to create a blog that generates six figures.
Here are 8 reasons why Brian Clark is a successful blogger and marketer. (Please Brian, if I have missed any reason, tell me!
)
1- His topic is different.
How did he have a different topic when he is still blogging about…Blogging?
If you saw my post on How to choose the perfect blog topic, you would have known why his topic is different.
However, here is the answer.
His topic was blogging and copywriting. He taught people how to write great posts, and how to make the most from each one.
Now, his topic is much bigger.
So here’s a tip:
When you want to create a popular blog, choose a unique topic that best fits you. For more, check the perfect unique blog topic post.
2- He publishes only high-quality posts.
He shares only epic posts. All that he does is to rock us with his awesome content.

3- From day one, he knows the importance of design.
When Brian started his blog, he spent $1,000 on design and hosting alone!
Yes, $1,000.
This means that design is really important. But do you need to spend that same money?
No. You can get a premium theme for less than $80. Afterward, when your blog becomes popular, you can have a custom design.
You can buy a premium theme from Studiopress. Yes, that’s also owned by Brian.
You can get your theme with less than $80$. Check the gallery or studiopress 101, or you can check our studiopress review.
4- He has an astonishing crew behind him.
As many of you know, every person in Brian’s crew is really amazing.
From that team:
Jon Morrow: This awesome guy is an associate editor. He now blogs on Boost blog traffic.
Sonia Simone: She is the CEO of Copyblogger Media. Her posts are really amazing.
Brian Gardner: He is the founder of Studiopress and Copyblogger Media.
And many others.
I am sure you had heard about many of them. They are all amazing.
5- He developed relationships with big bloggers from day one.
When he was still a new blogger, he was developing relationships with other pro bloggers at that time. One of them was Darren Rowse.
He had guest-posted there. Yes, Brian had guest-posted.
Blogging with no relationships means you are going to fall soon.
I will be publishing a post soon to help you build a relationship with big influences in your niche.
6- He was building an audience, without trying to make money.
When Brian started his blog, he was only trying to build his audience. He gave a lot of things for free (and still does).
This is Content Marketing.
He is the best content marketer. He didn’t spend any money on advertising; and yet, he built a multimillion dollar company.
This is what Brian says about Content Marketing:
Content Marketing means creating and sharing valuable free content to attract and convert prospects into customers, and customers into repeat buyers. The type of content you share is closely related to what you sell; in other words, you’re educating people so that they know, like, and trust you enough to do business with you.
You can check his Content Marketing 101, to learn how to build a successful business online.
7- He knows his audience’s problems, and he provides the best solution for them.
If you see all the products he creates, you will see that many people want them.
For example:
Scribe: For all people wanting to know how to optimize their posts for search engines, this plug-in is for them.
Premise: If you want, say, to create a membership site and landing pages, then here is the best solution.
And when he provides a solution, he provides the best thing ever. All of his products are amazing.
8- He over-delivers, before and after selling:
Yes, he over-delivers a lot.
Before Selling:
- He shares amazing posts (as said before).
- He gives you a lot of seminars + ebooks in his products topic.
- He follows this rule:
People want to learn before they buy — educate them instead of pitching.
He gives you a lot of content for free that can be sold for hundreds of dollars.
After Selling:
- He also gives you a lot of seminars + ebooks to teach you how to get the most from his products.
- When you try his products, you will know that the price of the product is very low.
What should you do now?
Here is a list of what you can do now:
- Check the Copyblogger content matrix, read all the posts there.
- Sign up to the internet marketing email series.
- Subscribe to their mailing list.
